To mark the one millionth London Marathon finisher this year, every runner who has ever completed the race will be offered the chance to buy a personalised t-shirt, with all profits going to The London Marathon Charitable Trust.
This year’s Virgin Money London Marathon on 24 April 2016 is expected to see the one-millionth runner cross the finishing line on The Mall.
To mark this occasion, the event’s organisers are inviting every runner who has completed the 26.2-mile challenge since 1981 the chance to buy a special t #oneinamillion t-shirt which will feature their unique finisher number.
The number one t-shirts will go to Dick Beardsley and Inge Simonsen, joint winners of the very first London Marathon in 1981.
