OSCR – links to charity account

OSCR – links to charity account

I have been a bit slow on the uptake, but I recently noticed that The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) website now includes a link to charity accounts, where it is provided by the charity. The link to charity accounts was introduced in 2015 as part of the annual return submission process. There are currently 1,332 charities with a published link. It’s not possible to search for charities with a link on the Scottish Charity Register at the moment, but it is something OSCR will consider adding to the Charity Register Download in future. If you think that is a good idea, be sure to let them know.

When I wrote to OSCR asking them about this feature, they replied with a spreadsheet showing the charities providing the link.

Finbar Cullen, ResearchPlus

Finbar Cullen established ResearchPlus in 2005 to provide fundraising research services for the not-for-profit sector. He researches people, companies and grant-making trusts and foundations, mostly in the UK, but also other parts of the world. Finbar has published directories of “unpublished” grant-making trusts (registered with the Charity Commission and with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator), and each month he contributes to The Trust List, highlighting newly registered grant-making trusts worthy of particularly close attention.
