Fundraising Regulator to attend small charities’ fundraising forum

Stephen Dunmore, the recently-appointed interim CEO of the Fundraising Regulator, will be listening to concerns from small charities about the new fundraising regulatory framework when he attends the Institute of Fundraising and Small Charities Coalition’s fundraising forum in February.
The Forum is part of a consultation by the Institute of Fundraising and Small Charities Coalition with smaller charities about the coming changes.
An online consultation launched in December has so far received over 400 responses from smaller charities. The survey remains open for submissions until 15 January,  and its results will be announced at the event.
The event will also be attended by George Kidd, the Chair of the Fundraising Preference Service working group.
The event will be designed to provide plenty of opportunity for the views, concerns and ideas about fundraising regulation from smaller charities to be heard.
The Smaller Charities Fundraising Forum takes place in central London on 4 February 2016 from 2pm.

It is fantastic that Stephen Dunmore and George Kidd, who have such vital roles in the shape of fundraising regulation affecting the charity sector, will be talking directly to smaller charities and fundraisers.”

Peter Lewis, the chief executive of the Institute of Fundraising, met with Stephen Dunmore this week to put forward the views and concerns of the organisations’ members and to discuss the future changes to the system of self-regulation for fundraising.
