Meet the fundraiser: Jean Bishop, The Bee Lady

Jean Bishop from Hull is 93 and dresses up as a bee to raise funds for Age UK. She has raised more than £100,000.
Age UK celebrated her work last year as part of the charity’s Love Later Life campaign.
She was chosen to carry the Olympic torch in Hull in June 2012:

In October this year she was celebrated on Russell Howard’s Good News show on BBC2, in the ‘It’s Not All Doom and Gloom’ section. Howard described her as a “magical lady”, adding:
“How incredible is she. People like that make the world go round.”
