£86k for small charities to mark 30 years of Lloyds Bank Foundations’ grantmaking

This year the Lloyds Bank Foundations are celebrating 30 years of grant-making to charities. To mark the anniversary they are offering a total of £86,000 in unrestricted grants to eligible small and medium-sized charities.
The Lloyds Bank Foundations 2015 Charity Achievement Awards will be made to recognise the work of outstanding small and medium-sized charities
Since their launch in 1985 the Foundations have distributed over £575 million to charities in communities across the UK helping to tackle disadvantage.

Which charities are eligible?

The Foundations will make unrestricted grants of between £1,000 and £2,000 to “outstanding charities” that have already been funded by the Foundations from England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Prizes will be awarded at a regional level and then finalists will proceed to a UK-wide final round. The final grants will be awarded at a ceremony at Banking Hall, the London headquarters of Lloyds Bank.
To be eligible for these grants charities must:
• have a turnover under £1 million, and
• be in receipt of an active grant from the Lloyds Bank Foundations for England and Wales, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands on the dates outlined in the eligibility guidelines.
Their are six categories for the awards:
• Outstanding Impact
• Against The Odds
• Valuing Volunteers
• Championing Change
• Unsung Hero
• Enterprising Collaboration
In addition, an overall prize will be given for the ‘Foundations Charity of the Year’ award which will be selected from all applicants. Charities can’t specifically apply for this awards.
The deadline for applications to the Lloyds Bank Foundations 2015 Charity Achievement Awards is midnight on 1 June 2015.
