The Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need 24/25 - hold an umbrella over someone's head

Give as you Live and Freegle partner

Online fundraising platform Give as you Live and free re-use scheme Freegle have partnered in an effort to promote “environmentally aware, responsible consumerism” in the UK.

As a result, Give as you Live will encourage its shoppers to use Freegle to dispose of their unwanted items rather than to throw them away, and Freegle will encourage its 1.5 million uses to use Give as you Live when they shop online. Freegle will also earn income from some of the sales generated.

The organisations will collaborate with their complementary messages on social media, newsletters, daily user email updates, and links on their websites.

Polly Gowers OBE, CEO and Founder of Give as you Live, commented: “Freegle does vital work in helping to minimise environmentally damaging unnecessary waste, as well as saving money for hard pressed Brits. Give as you Live has partnered with Freegle to increase the financial support from their passionate community – but without them having to dig deeper into their pockets.

“This collaboration means that the British public can be philanthropic and environmentally conscious as items enter and leave their lives.”
