Freedom from Torture uses Sky’s TV ad targeting
Freedom from Torture is the first charity to use satellite broadcaster Sky’s new AdSmart targeted advertising tool.
The system, still being trialled, uses data from Sky+ set-top boxes to present adverts to selected households and at particular times, based on data about the household’s estimated income, location, class and age.
It is therefore being targeted at those deemed most likely to donate.

The advert, titled ‘I am Marie’, was created by creative and fundraising agency other. It began airing on 6 October 2013.
