Howard Lake | 3 October 2013 | News

Lothian Buses is supporting Breakthrough Breast Cancer this month by painting a bus bright pink. The bus is designed to promote the charity’s work during breast cancer awareness month. It also includes a text-for-information call to action on the side part of the charity’s wider mobile information and fundraising campaign.
In addition to the pink bus, the transport company will be encouraging its staff, including bus drivers, to take part in Wear it Pink Day on 4 October on which they can make a donation to dress in pink at work.
The company is also planning a range of fundraising activities throughout the month, including a sky dive, bake sale, raffles and a five-a-side football competition.
James Jopling, Director for Scotland, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, said: “The pink bus is a brilliant way to grab the attention of the general public, and we look forward to spotting it across the city throughout October. We are confident it will help to promote the importance of being breast aware, and we thank Lothian Buses for their commitment to our cause.”
