Listen to match-fund SOFII’s redevelopment appeal
Telephone fundraising agency Listen will match pound for pound the first £10,000 donated to help SOFII, the Showcase of Fundraising Innovation and Inspiration, redevelop its website.
Established in 2007, the website offers a free, and growing archive of effective fundraising from around the world. Six years on, SOFII has launched a public redevelopment appeal to raise £40,000 to enable it better to servce the thousands of fundraisers who visit it for tips, ideas and case studies.
Changes planned for the site include making information easier to find, reducing load times, enhancing the search function, and make it more usable to people visiting it from mobile or tablet devices.

Tony Charalambides, Listen’s Managing Director, explained his support. He said: “Listen is very happy to back this appeal. Like many other fundraisers I have found SOFII to be a vital source of both information and learning and through our support I hope that we can help bring this invaluable resource to the attention of many more people worldwide. We would encourage anyone involved or with an interest in fundraising to get behind this appeal and make SOFII the global fundraising resource it deserves to be."
Author and consultant Ken Burnett, who founded SOFII, said: "To keep this vital information-sharing resource going and working to its full potential we must upgrade the site to meet demand. This redevelopment will allow us to launch a brand new website which is fit for purpose and will give us the firm foundations to keep improving SOFII for years to come."
As well as private donations and donations from sector organisations SOFII received early support from the Joffe Foundation.
