Home electrical appliance company AEG is once again offering support to grassroots cricket teams across the UK. Its Grassroots Cricket campaign is being run again, offering the chance for 40 local cricket teams to win new kits, washing machines and the chance to compete for the grand prize of a training session at Lord’s with cricketing stars.

Teams can enter via AEG's Facebook page and the dedicated tab. Entrants simply have to state in no more than 50 words why they deserve to win.

The competition is open to junior, school and adult cricket teams.

The 40 winning teams will be required to submit a video diary featuring them testing out the AEG washing machine. All videos will be reviewed and the team with the winning video will be rewarded with an End of Season Gala held at their club with ex-England Cricket team players.

All 40 teams will also have to submit a photo of them in their new kit. An online public vote will then decide the team that will win a training session at Lord’s plus the chance to meet the England Cricket team.

The deadline for applications is 28 February 2013.
