Crisis aims to raise over £600,000 from corporates with 2012 Christmas e-card

Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people, is again inviting companies across the UK to buy special e-cards to help it support vulnerable people during the festive season. The charity aims to raise over £600,000 this year from the initiative, since it began in 1995.

The Crisis Christmas Card will be promoted by a series of adverts in the Financial Times; all companies that purchase an e-card will be thanked in future adverts to run in the newspaper.

Companies can pick from eight one-minute video e-cards which feature individuals who have been helped by Crisis, singing classic Christmas songs. The e-cards will be aligned with the sponsoring company’s logo and a Christmas greeting. An example of the singing and dancing e-card can be viewed here.

Leslie Morphy, Chief Executive of Crisis, said: “The Crisis Christmas Card features real people who have been helped out of homelessness by Crisis. We hope that companies will find them moving and authentic and choose these e-cards to replace their usual paper Christmas card mailings”.

Nearly £9 million has been raised by the Crisis Christmas Card campaign since it began in 1995.

Companies have to sign up by 16 November 2012.
