Fundraising Ireland introduces Certificate in Fundraising

Howard Lake | 15 June 2012 | News

Fundraising Ireland is to introduce a Certificate in Fundraising, designed to increase fundraising knowledge, develop new skills, and increase the professional recognition of fundraisers. The professional body of fundraisers in Ireland hopes that it will help fundraisers develop the skills needed to fulfil their potential and maximise return for charitable organisations.
The course will begin in September. It has been developed by fundraising expert Professor Adrian Sargeant in consultation with Irish not-for-profit experts, and will be delivered with the support of Dublin City University’s Educational Trust. Adrian Sargeant and Stephen Pidgeon, who has also led the UK’s Institute of Fundraising course on several occasions, will run the first course.
The course will run over four days from 17 to 20 September 2012 in Dublin City University, Glasnevin, Dublin 9 and there are 25 places available. The course cost is €1,200 and you must be a member of Fundraising Ireland to participate.
