Blackbaud offers credit card processing services to UK clients

Blackbaud Europe Ltd is now offering all of its UK customers of The Raiser’s Edge the facility to receive credit and debit card donations and payments via Blackbaud Merchant Services™. The integrated payment and donation processing system charges a single flat rate of 2.75% to handle donations and payments, plus 25p per transaction for Visa®, MasterCard, Maestro, and 3.5% plus 25p per transaction for American Express.
Blackbaud say that the system can be set up within 24 hours and integrates with other Blackbaud solutions, such as The Raiser’s Edge and Blackbaud NetCommunity.
It supports all types of transactions, including one-time and recurring, real-time, batch, point-of-sale, “card present,” and “card not present.”
Blackbaud Europe’s product manager Robert McAllen said: “Blackbaud Merchant Services is a fully integrated PCI-DSS compliant environment that helps mitigate risks associated with storing credit cards which is critical to protection of not-for-profits and their donor data.” Blackbaud manages the PCI compliance.
Blackbaud Merchant Services provides not-for-profit organisations with a single payment processor that can be managed from an online dashboard, enabling them to see transactions in real time. It also offers chargeback management and donor support services.
McAllen added: “Our customers needed the ability to accept credit cards, no matter what the location. The web-based platform enables them to pull reports and complete transactions wherever they are.”
