The Bank Workers Charity has been working with thankQ to deliver a CRM system which is due to go live in November 2011. The thankQ system will handle the charity’s supporter and client relationships, fundraising activity and client grants and services.
The Bank Workers Charity is a registered charity for bank employees, past and present, and their dependants. The charity provides information, advice, services and financial support, delivered online, via a dedicated helpline and through partners and in-house client advisors.
The charity had been using a number of IT systems to deal with administration, communications and information sharing and felt that it was time to review its IT investment in order to more effectively manage and share information across the organisation. The charity outlined several key features that were necessary in the chosen system, including integration with key finance and email systems, BACS tools and the Bank Workers Charity website. It was also essential that the new system had the flexibility and scalability to cope with changing requirements without any undue expense or degradation to system performance.
The charity worked with Blue Spark Consulting to shortlist and select providers, basing their decision on providers’ ability to meet stringent functionality criteria in their standard applications, whilst allowing for a degree of customisation where necessary. In particular the Bank Workers Charity wanted to ensure that all data captured in their grant application forms could be comprehensively saved, searched, summarised and reported upon. This is something that thankQ has been working closely with the charity to achieve.
Fred Payne, CEO of the Bank Workers Charity said of the appointment, ‘thankQ ticked all the boxes on paper and luckily for us, had already provided a very similar solution for The Musicians Benevolent Fund, which we were able to review as part of the selection process. This gave us added confidence that thankQ had a proven solution that could be easily tailored to suit our needs’.
