The company reports that its 2009 donations were up 40% on 2008, partly due to a new 25% fund-matching scheme. It also granted its employees 348 days of special leave to enable them to work on community projects.
As well as the funds raised by employees across its 14 UK sites, United Biscuits made charitable donations of £106,000 in 2009.
