The Vodafone Ireland Foundation has launched the latest round of its Making A Difference programme which provides up to €40,000 to each of four successful applicants.
The programme offers four residents of the Republic of Ireland the chance to work with a charity of their choice in Ireland, by providing them with a year’s salary (up to a maximum of €40,000) plus expenses.
Making A Difference has been running since 2007 and has supported individuals working with a wide range of charities, often less well known.
Since Vodafone Ireland Foundation (VIF) launched in 2003, it has provided over €4.5 million to charitable projects throughout Ireland.
The 2009 winners of Making A Difference were Aideen Lyster, Coolmine Therapeutic Community, Fiona Sexton, Volunteer Centres Ireland, Killian Stokes, Global Charity Platform and Hagan Bolger, Open Heart House
