The People's Millions opens for applications

Howard Lake | 20 March 2009 | News

The Big Lottery Fund’s People’s Millions programme is inviting applications for 2009. It is open to organisations that provide opportunities for people to enjoy their local area, whether indoors or out, and improve local facilities for all to enjoy.
People’s Millions is designed to give the public “a real say in how lottery money is spent in local communities throughout the UK”.
People’s Millions has already funded 318 projects across the UK. The programme will fund a further 69 projects of up to £50,000 (including VAT) across the 15 ITV regional news areas.
The public will be invited to vote for applicants in competitions in each of the 15 ITV Regions. In addition, the popular ‘bonus’ awards will also be made.
The deadline for completed applications is 12 noon on Friday 15 May 2009.
