Top donors in the USA

I see from the latest (free) newsletter from Philanthropy Today that The Chronicle’s Philanthropy 50, has just been published. Visit http://philanthropy.com/ for details of who gave how much to what. You can view the list for previous years, going back to 2000 (sometimes for the top 60). You can also sign up for an online discussion with one of the donors on the list, Lorry I. Lokey. He is due to offer insights into how you should approach wealthy (US based) donors in these turbulent times.
The Chronicle of Philanthropy provides a whole load of resources for anyone fundraising in the USA. Some of it requires a subscription, but have a rummage if that is a market that you want to explore.
