An end to fundraising

Howard Lake | 7 September 2007 | Blogs

Fundraising is eternal: there is never enough money to achieve that a charity wants or needs to achieve, so fundraising is a permanent, ongoing process.
Occasionally though, an organisation can secure all the money it needs, and can end its fundraising. This is what has happened to Trinity Methodist Church, in Westcliff in south Essex. After 13 years of running a dedicated charity shop, its congregation has raised the target of £300,000 to pay for the necessary repairs to the church.
As a result, according to the South Essex Echo in Job done! Fundraising shop shuts, the group of volunteers have now closed the shop permanently.
