Win one of ten £1,000 community grants in crossword competition

As part of Starbucks’ involvement in the Royal Society of Arts’s Coffeehouse Challenge, the coffee chain is offering the opportunity to win one of ten £1,000 community grants in a crossword competition. The ten winners will be able to donate their grant to a registered charity of their choice.

To enter the competition you can complete the crossword by visiting a Starbucks and picking up the first edition of ‘The Coffee Scoop’ newsletter – “all the latest from the world of coffee”. Alternatively you can download it from the Coffeehouse Challenge website.

All the clues relate to the community and environment.

The closing date for entries is 5 August 2007, and winners will be drawn at random on 10 August.

Eligible recipients of the grants “must be registered with the Charities Commission and must not be under investigation or be a state funded school.” They must also be based in the UK.
