New Fundraising Consultancy for Charities and other Not-for-Profit Organisations in the South West

Howard Lake | 7 November 2006 | Newswire

As some of you may or may not know I am leaving my position as Fundraiser with a well known Gloucestershire-wide charity, and I am setting up a freelance fundraising consultancy to offer support and advice to charitable/voluntary groups. I am a qualified Funding Advisor and will be offering a wide range of valuable support to the charitable sector.
During this exciting time I will provide a wide range of services and can work with charities for just a couple of days or weeks, if this is all that is required, or I can provide extensive support over months or even years when appropriate. I offer:
· Bid writing (Lottery, trusts, companies etc)
· Help with applying to trusts and the Lottery
· Bid critiquing
· Training days (including support and training for fundraising staff)
· One-to-one support
· Research (i.e. a list of potential funders)
This list is not exhaustive but gives an indication of the services I offer. It also enables charities to ‘pick and choose’ services, which are within their own budget, and have best value for money.
I offer initial consultancy visits for half a day or a full day to discuss projects and assess needs. Sometimes a charity only requires limited support in order to achieve a great deal. For example:
· Advice on sources of funding for your project or activity
· Assistance with to applying to trusts or the Lottery
