Manchester Art Gallery develops potential of corporate patrons

Howard Lake | 13 November 2006 | Newswire

Burnett Works has been appointed to support the future development of the Manchester Art Gallery’s corporate patrons’ scheme.
Working for Manchester City Galleries Development Company Ltd, the agency is carrying out a detailed research project which will inform decisions about the future evolution of the scheme.
Initially this will involve conducting interviews with existing and lapsed patrons, as well as those who had previously expressed interest in the programme, in order to gain an in-depth understanding of their perceptions of the current scheme. Burnett Works will also identify what motivates corporate patrons to get involved with Manchester City Gallery, what benefits they most appreciate, and which other causes are competing for their support.
Russell Miller, business development manager at Manchester City Galleries Development Company, commented, We invited Burnett Works to undertake this work as a result of seeing how other charities had benefited from their involvement in the early stages of fundraising initiatives. The better we understand our existing and potential corporate patrons, the better able we shall be to develop a corporate patrons scheme which best meets their expectations.”
