~Heavy Weight Celebrates UK’s Grilling Anniversary with a Fundraising Partnership with British Heart Foundation~
The legendary George Foreman was in London this month to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of his lean, mean, fat-reducing grilling machine. To mark the success, George Foreman was busily promoting his new three year fundraising with the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
George Foreman has teamed up with the nation’s heart charity with the aim of raising at least £300,000 for pioneering research that saves and improves the lives of vulnerable adults and children. To celebrate the fundraising knockout, the partnership was launched in sizzling style last Friday (October 20th) as George demonstrated some of his favourite, healthy meals in Trafalgar Square on his grill. The recipes were taken from his healthy recipe book, included free with selected George Foreman grills.
In order to help reach the £300,000 target for the BHF, George Foreman is encouraging the UK public to get involved in his Recipes from the Heart Campaign. The premise of the campaign is to share healthy food tips on www.georgeforemangrills.co.uk by submitting a favourite healthy grill recipe, alongside a voluntary donation to the BHF.
In return, George Foreman and the BHF will select their favourite healthy recipes each month with the winners receiving a variety of prizes, including the George Foreman Easy-Clean, Removable plates grill and £1,000 for the overall winner.
The campaign will help raise vital funds for the BHF, so it can continue its research into the causes of, and treatments for, heart disease.
Douglas Rouse, Head of Corporate Partnerships at the British Heart Foundation said: It’s fantastic that George Foreman is helping us raise this phenomenal amount. The money raised through this fundraising partnership, will help us in our fight against heart disease, which remains the UK’s biggest killer.”
