CROFT CHAMPIONSHIPS CAN LEAD TO FUNDRAISING SUCCESS
12/07/06
St Teresa’s Hospice is hoping to ride to fundraising success, with summertime activities at the Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire.
Fundraisers working on behalf of the Darlington-based Hospice will be at Croft during the forthcoming Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and The Bennetts British Superbike Championship, hosting collections and offering visitors the chance to win a number of prizes in a fundraising raffle.
The fundraising is part of Croft Circuit’s recent adoption of St Teresa’s Hospice as its official charity and all proceeds will go directly towards funding the Hospice’s palliative and respite care services, including Hospice at Home, counselling and complementary therapies.
The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16, will include three races from the British Touring Car Championship, Porsche Carrera Cup, Formula Renault UK Championship, Renault Clio Cup, SEAT Supra Championship and the Formula BMW UK Championship.
The Bennetts British Superbike Championship on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 11, 12 and 13, will include two races from the British Superbike Championship, British Supersport Championship, British 125cc GP Championship, Virgin Mobile Cup & National Superstock Championship.
St Teresa’s Hospice Director, Jane Bradshaw, said: The Championship events at Croft Circuit are an absolute must for all racing enthusiasts and can be a fantastic day out for everyone.
“Croft is a strong supporter of St Teresa’s Hospice and I would like to thank them for once again allowing us to go on-site to try to raise additional funds for our services.
“I hope that everyone who attends Croft during these events can find it in their hearts to give generously.”
Tickets for both events are on sale now. The admission charge for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship is £12 on Saturday and £25 on Sunday.
Reduced rate advanced tickets can be purchased up to 21st July 2006 for The Bennetts British Superbike Championship. A Sunday ticket is currently £20, and a weekend ticket is £25. Children 15 years and under are admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult.
