Planning for a brighter childhood… Plan UK appoint Bright to increase campaign activity

Howard Lake | 26 October 2006 | Newswire

At the start of this year, Plan UK trialed integrated communications agency, Bright, in a bid to find a new strategic and creative agency partner. Bright demonstrated a thorough understanding of the challenges facing Plan UK in retaining and building on its donor support; providing creative and inspirational campaign ideas.
Earlier this month Plan UK officially appointed Bright. They have really hit the ground running with over 8 initial projects, from gift catalogues and direct mail to DRTV.
In addition to campaign activity, the agency will also be responsible for providing emergency support – developing and implementing campaigns to encourage public support in times of major disaster. This included work on the recent Java disaster where Bright managed to exceed their target fund total by more than 80%.
Jeremy Cooper, Head of Marketing at Plan UK comments on Bright’s appointment We are really pleased to have found an agency like Bright. They are nimble and they understand us and what we want to do. I’m looking forward to seeing some really solid work”
The addition of the Plan UK account to Bright continues its recent success in winning several client accounts, including Orange, Ancestry.co.uk and Thomson Al Fresco. The wins reinforce its position as one of the country’s fastest growing independent integrated response agencies.
Jeremy Hall, Managing Director of Bright comments Working with such a positive, solution-orientated charity like Plan is fantastic for Bright. It’s something the whole agency has become really passionate about. Many of us have already sponsored children and are regularly sending pictures and letters. It has given us a great insight into their work”
