THE UK’s second largest provider of portable toilets has secured a prestigious contract for the ninth year in a row.
Haydock based Toilet Hire UK will provide 5,350 portable toilets for the 230 Cancer Research UK Race for Life events taking place across the country this summer.
Last year they supplied 3,246 toilets to the events which take place in areas including Edinburgh, Blackpool, Nottingham and Southampton. This year’s event will see 750,000 women of all ages and abilities taking part in the 5km races aiming to raise £46 million for the charity.
Lorraine Mace, Toilet Hire UK events manager, is co-ordinating the Race for Life contract. She is pleased to be playing a part in the Cancer Research UK event again this year. She said:
More people than ever before are going to take part in this year’s Race for Life series and we are delighted to once again play a significant role in the organisation of such a worthwhile event.
Some Toilet Hire UK staff are taking part in the races in St Helens and Gloucester so we have even more reason to support the event this year.”
Toilet Hire has also provided toilets for the Royal Lancashire Show, the Glastonbury Festival and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. Based in Haydock, Toilet Hire has an additional 11 depots across the country enabling them to provide toilets and washing facilities for events nationwide.
