Microsoft and Cisco products offered to charities via CTT
Charity Technology Trust (CTT) has launched CTXchange(tm), which offers Microsoft and Cisco software and hardware to qualifying UK registered charities and charitable housing associations at under 10% of the usual retail price.
CTXchange is a partnership with the US not-for-profit technology capacity building organisation TechSoup.
The UK pilot project enables UK organisations that meet the Donating Partners’ eligibility criteria to request a wide range of Microsoft and Cisco
product donations. The products include operating system software, productivity software such as Microsoft Office, publishing software and server software and hardware products.

Charities are required to pay a small administrative fee to cover the costs of the programme. Whilst the administrative fees vary, CTT say that “charities will make savings of between 92-96% on typical retail prices.”
CTT’s partnership with TechSoup is part of a global TechSoup Programme through which corporate donors will offer NGOs and charities in Europe and Africa easy access to a broad range of essential technology donations through a central, trusted resource.
Over the coming months, CTT and TechSoup are working to expand the programme to include donations from other leading corporate technology donors.
