Morgan Stanley staff raise £340,000 in a year for Age Concern charities

Charities Age Concern Tower Hamlets and Newham recently received a major boost after netting £340,000 from Morgan Stanley.

Staff at the Canary Wharf-based financial services firm embarked on a year-long fundraising drive to raise money for the charity’s work to promote the well-being of older people.

Money raised was from a host of activities including quizzes, bingo nights, and a triathlon from Canary Wharf to Paris. The funds will be used to develop a new Older, Wiser, Fitter programme in two of London’s poorest boroughs. The programme will enable older people to remain healthy and active, helping them train in new skills such as IT, and providing complimentary therapies.
