UK Power, an Energywatch approved price comparison and switching service announces the launch of CharitiesPower.co.uk. This new website allows visitors to compare and switch gas and/or electricity easily and for free. All licensed suppliers are included on the site to ensure that visitors get a great deal.
As well as potentially saving themselves hundreds of pounds by switching supplier, visitors can also select one of the charities signed up to the programme, who will receive a donation for each completed switch.
The service is free, not only for users, but also for charities to sign up to. UK Power makes a donation payment to charities that have been selected by the visitors when they switched.
Sam Hamilton, website manager for CharitiesPower.co.uk said ‘The launch of this new service is a great way for charities to raise money. Rather than having to appeal for money, they are instead providing their members and website visitors with a money saving tool, while at the same time raising funds.
CharitiesPower is able to make donations to charity as they receive a small commission from suppliers for each successful switch and this is then shared with the charity.
The programme is open to all UK charities and the first charity to sign up is Allergy UK.
Charities that are interested in signing up to be listed on CharitiesPower.co.uk or to find out more information about the programme should email ch*******@uk*****.uk.
