An online auction of celebrity doodles has raised £12,412 for Epilepsy Action and The Neurofibromatosis Association.

A total of 277 doodles, drawn in aid of National Doodle Day on March 3, were sold after 10 days of bidding on eBay. The top seller was former world and Olympic figure skating champion Robin Cousins, whose doodle of a pair of ice skates went for £908.

A separate competition is still running for schools, giving pupils and teachers the chance to win an interactive white board for their school. Businesses, brownie packs and sports clubs are also being encouraged to hold their own National Doodle Day competitions.
