RSPCA launches alternative Christmas gift service

Howard Lake | 16 October 2005 | News

This month, the RSPCA is launching an alternative Christmas gift service for animal lovers – the ‘RSPCA Christmas Gift Box’ – through an integrated campaign including inserts, press advertising, and online activity.

The ‘RSPCA Christmas Gift Box’ offers a range of ‘virtual’ Christmas gifts, such as a ‘Kitten Sleep Pod’ at an animal centre or an ‘Emergency Kit’ for an RSPCA animal ambulance.

Purchases can be made by mail, telephone or online. Payment for all gifts goes to the RSPCA and the purchaser receives a specially designed gift card detailing the gift purchased and how it will be used to help animals in need.

All offline creative work, together with a stand-alone e-commerce website, has been developed by Whitewater, the direct marketing agency responsible for all of the RSPCA’s direct response fundraising work. Whitewater has also partnered with internet specialist Agency.com to test a range of online promotional activities driving traffic to the website.
