New director at Auctioning4u

Auctioning4u, the UK chain of eBay drop-off shops that helps charities raise funds online from donated goods, has appointed Christopher Caruk has joined its board as non-executive director to oversee the company’s IT set-up.

Auctioning4u will handle the whole process of selling items on eBay for individuals, companies and charities. The company, set up in 2003, handles writing the descriptions, monitoring the auction process, and dealing with payments and shipping. It will even pick up items for a fee in and around London.

Christopher Caruk has spent 30 years in software and systems management, design and development. For exmaple, he has worked with MasterCard and Visa to help migrate smartcard payment technologies to the Internet.
