BT/ChildLine online auction raises over £12,000

BT’s Big Listen online charity auction at eBay has raised over £12,000 for ChildLine, with one bidder paying £510 to play a role in a London musical.

Kenneth McConaghy, 24, from Cheshire will appear in the 100th performance of Bat Boy where he will take on the role of Sheriff Reynolds’ son, a role specifically created for him. He will also play the role for the rest of that week.

Other celebrity “experiences” on offer at the auction included a singing lesson and
lunch date with Katie Melua, dinner with Jackie Collins at the Ritz and the
opportunity to spend a day on the road with Mark Owen.
