Charity Awards 2005 now open for nominations

The Charity Awards 2005, which recognise and celebrate excellence in the leadership and management of charities, are now open for nominations.
The awards, organised by Charity Finance magazine, are open to charities throughout the UK, and highlight charities’ achievements, and draw attention to the talent and expertise involved in voluntary activity in the UK.
Entry to the Charity Awards is free and nominations are welcome from charities of any size in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Charity Awards website. Applications should be submitted with a copy of your charity’s most recent full annual accounts, audited if applicable.

The closing date for nominations is 18 March 2005. Presentations to the winners will be made at a gala dinner in London on 16 June 2005.

- Arts, culture and heritage
- Children and youth
- Disability
- Education and training
- Grantmaking
- Healthcare and medical research
- International aid and development
- Research, advice and support
- Social care, welfare and religion
In addition, one of the above category winners will go on to win the overall award.
Two other award will also be made – the judges discretionary award for charity effectiveness, and the award to an individual for outstanding achievement in charity management.
All ten category winners will receive a place on the Leadership Trust’s flagship Leadership in Management programme, each worth £3,280 plus VAT. The winner of the judges’ discretionary award will receive a year’s mentoring from a senior management consultant.
