Sick Children's Trust uses Internet in its first fundraising appeal

Howard Lake | 19 April 2004 | News

The Sick Children’s Trust is using a mixture of direct mail and the Web to communicate its first fundraising activity.

The trust is promoting “Slumber for the SCT” which will take place throughout May 2004. People will be encouraged to hold a slumber party with friends to raise funds. Fundraising packs will be available for download from the charity’s Web site.

It is encouraging to see a charity integrate the Internet with its first ever fundraising appeal. Clearly it recognised the significant cost savings it could achieve by handling distribution of its fundraising materials online.
