BSkyB has generated £750,000 worth of support to children’s charities NSPCC and Children 1st as part of its 2003 Charity of the Year initiative.

The NSPCC and Children 1st were chosen as Sky’s Charity of the Year for 2003 by Sky staff. The £750,000 was generated through employee fundraising – including sponsoring runners in the New York marathon, parachute jumps and an online Secret Santa last Christmas. The figure also includes matched fundraising and gifts in kind such as marketing and advertising support.
