Damien Hirst’s 22-foot high charity box bronze sculpture has been sold for £1.5 million to a private collector.

The sculpture entitled ‘Charity’ depicts a 1950s style charity collecting box in the form of a young girl in a leg caliper holding a teddy and a collecting tin.

Two other versions of the sculpture were on sale, including one that has been on display in Hoxton Square in London.
