Fundraising in the pink

It’s difficult to stand out from so many fundraising events, but Imperial Cancer Research Fund have done so by coming up with a novel idea for a sponsored event. They are asking men to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by wearing a bra to work on the outside of their shirt.
Given that this might not appeal to all men, the Fund has suggested the alternative of wearing something pink, such as a handkerchief in their jacket pocket, to show their support.

It’s not clear if the august Financial Times newspaper, famed for its pink pages, has signed up its support, but both NatWest and the Alliance & Leicester have joined in.
