New developments in Nordic fundraising

Resource Alliance has reported the latest developments in fundraising in Sweden, Norway and Finland.

An umbrella fundraising body is being formed in Finland for the first time. Representatives from Amnesty International, WWF and other charities have been elected and work is underway in drafting a constitution and fundraising guidelines.

In Norway work is in progress by the Norwegian Fundraising Association to bring the various fundraising networks together.

The Swedish Fundraising Council is currently working on setting standards for administration and fundraising costs, and has
developed two new sets of guidelines on protect donors’ money kept in stocks and shares, and on face-to-face fundraising.
