CAF Annual Conference to ask 'Does charity matter?'

Howard Lake | 11 September 2002 | News

The theme of this year’s Charities Aid Foundation Annual Conference and Exhibition is ‘Does Charity Matter?’

CAF poses the question as the sector faces intense scrutiny from government, statutory bodies, the public and the media.

CAF’s conference and exhibition takes place on 7 November 2002 at One Great George Street, London.

The key issues affecting the sector will be explored in 13 interactive seminars, which will cover topics ranging from the findings of the Strategy Unit review to discovering what young people really feel about charities.

Supported by NatWest and The Royal Bank of Scotland, the Conference will allow delegates to pose questions ahead of the day through their booking forms, via e-mail and online.

Delegates will hear from social entrepreneur Andrew Mawson OBE, and CAF will introduce its incoming Chief Executive.

CAF is once again partnering with SocietyGuardian.co.uk to offer an online conference and exhibition. Pre-conference reports will be available, and Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee will join an online question and answer session.
