Skyline offers to handle charity of the year initiatives

Howard Lake | 5 October 2003 | News

A new service from events specialist Skyline will let charities and companies outsource the administration, customer care and event management of their charity of the year partnerships.

Skyline’s new Charity of the Year services have grown out of the company’s involvement in the large Tesco Charity of the Year campaigns.

Being chosen as a Charity of the Year can offer a charity a valuable opportunity to raise funds and form lasting bonds with corporate supporters. However, the workload associated with corporate partnerships can be significant: some charities end up recruiting additional personnel to handle the partnership.

Skyline believes that its initiative will help charities handle these issues without losing their focus on other fundraising. Corporate Development Manager Ciara Herron said: “Following the relationships we have built over the years with Community Fundraisers, we are increasingly being asked to be involved with Corporate Fundraisers and their partnerships with companies. Our Charity of the Year scheme will ease the large influx of work associated with these type of campaigns”.

Skylines Charity of the Year services include Skylines Events, a nationwide fundraising events programme that provides corporate supporters with a ready-made employee fundraising scheme; Bespoke Events, signature events created especially for a campaign; Hotline, where Skyline can handle all the charity’s and corporate’s calls on one central number; Marketing Advice; and Bespoke Database, Skyline’s specialised in-house fundraising database.
