The England Rugby Squad have joined a host of others and taken their kit off for charity. Stoke Mandeville Hospital’s Sporting Chance Appeal is benefiting from sales the Rugby Football Union’s (RFU) 2001 calendar. In addition, the RFU is running an online promotion of the calendar.

Agency Mind’s Eye produced an e-mailable game which gradually removed bricks hiding a naked England player such as Kyran Bracken. The game included an invitation to order the calendar from the RFU’s site. The game was initially sent to just 200 of the RFU’s contacts and it spread from there.

The campaign budget of £5,000 has so far produced calendar sales of £200,000.
