Fortune magazine has published a special report on the new philanthropy. New Frontiers in Philanthropy by Diane Gingold & Associates examines venture philanthropy and new business practices for the non-profit sector.
It features a comment from Hillary Clinton linking philanthropy with the Internet. “We have to find ways to embrance and encourage philanthropists of all races, ethnicities, and colors,” said Ms Clinton at the White House Conference on Philanthropy on 22 October 1999. “New avenues of giving must be opened and explored, so we have to utilize the rich possibilities of cyberspace and the information age.”

The new philanthropy report is published in Special Sections area of Fortune’s Web site.
