BBC Children in Need's online income to rise tenfold?

In its twentieth year, BBC Children in Need are hoping to improve on their success in 1998 in using the Internet to raise funds. The figure of tenfold has already been quoted as a possible multiple.
By 17.02, even before the telethon had started, the online donations had totalled £7,891. By the end of the evening the site had received £101,943 in online credit/debit card donations.
