The Marketing Telemarketing Awards 1997

The Arthritis and Rheumatism Council have won in the Charity Sector of this year’s Telemarketing Awards.

“More than 20% of those telephoned agreed to give regular gifts, with an average four-year value of 252”.

ActionAid and Help the Aged were both highly commended. In the case of ActionAid, “by introducing the telephone, the number of sponsors recruited grew by 460% when compared with the mail-only approach”.

Significantly, the telemarketing agency responsible for all these successes was ActionAid’s National Telephone Team.
