The BGL Group’s national charity partner is youth charity The Prince’s Trust. The five year partnership will provide volunteering opportunities for BGL employees to support disadvantaged young people.

Local community

At a regional level the BGL Group operates three ‘City Teams’ in its UK locations; Sunderland, Coventry and Peterborough. These committees identify needs within their local community and offer support as appropriate, with a particular interest in schools.

Individual

On an individual basis, BGL provides employees with support and funding towards charities of their choice. Employees can have their own fundraising efforts matched by the Group up to £500. In addition, all BGL employees are entitled to one day per year as paid leave to take part in volunteering.
Peter Winslow, Chief Executive Officer of the BGL Group, said: “Over the past three years, employee dedication and commitment to various charity activities has directly contributed towards the Group donating more than £1 million to charity, including more than £210,000 to the NSPCC and £300,000 to Marie Curie Cancer Care.”
