Four bursaries offer free places at The Scottish Conference 2012

Howard Lake | 12 July 2012 | News

Four fundraisers working for smaller charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises will be able to attend this year’s The Scottish Conference thanks to bursaries from the THINK Foundation.
The Institute of Fundraising Scotland’s annual conference takes place on 23 and 24 October 2012 at The Westerwood Hotel near Glasgow.
The bursaries are open to those working for not-for-profit organisations with a total organisational annual turnover of £500,000 or less, and who want to increase their skills and knowledge concerning sources of funding and fundraising techniques. The bursaries are also open to someone wishing to take up fundraising as a career.
The bursaries are for a full pass which covers attendance at all aspects of the conference over both days, the awards dinner, and one night’s bed and breakfast (on Tuesday 23 October). Neither the Institute of Fundraising Scotland nor the THINK Foundation can cover or reimburse any travel costs to the conference.
The Institute of Fundraising Scotland encourages detailed applications for the bursaries so specifically suggests enclosing supporting information such as annual reports, CVs, and publicity materials.
The closing date for applications is 14 September 2012.
