Save the Children campaign given £263,000 worth of bus advertising

Bus and rail operator FirstGroup has donated advertising space in around 7,000 buses outside London to its charity partner, Save the Children. The space is valued at more than £263,000.
The adverts include the message ‘No Child Born Without A Chance’ and form part of the charity’s 2011 ‘Born To’ campaign. They already feature inside buses throughout the UK and will be rolled out to First’s 7,000 regional bus fleet (excluding London buses) in the coming weeks.
Giles Fearnley, Managing Director of First’s UK bus division, said: “Providing free advertising on our buses is one example of how First supports Save the Children. Our in-kind support and cash donations total more than £4 million since our partnership began in 2007.”
The adverts will remain on display for around two months.
Save the Children’s ‘Born To’ campaign is asking the UK public to help the poorest children get a better start in life, both at home and at school, and to make sure government is working towards a time when no child in this country is born without a chance.
