CAF helps Terry Venables and the Sun raise funds at the World Cup

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is helping the Sun newspaper and Terry Venables to raise money for Malaria No More UK and Help for Heroes through the sale of a charity single.
Funds raised from the sale of the single, a cover by the former England manager of Elvis’ “If I Can Dream”, will be held in a CAF Trust and distributed to the two charities.
The song was launched with the first performance on the roof of the O2 Arena in London and was recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Sun has used the song as the soundtrack for a series of national television adverts and has featured it extensively in its coverage of this year’s World Cup. The newspaper is urging fans to show their support for England by buying the song.
The single debuted in the charts at number 23 in last week’s singles countdown.
CAF worked recently with the Sun to distribute the funds from the newspaper’s Helping Haiti Appeal. That too included raising funds from the sale of a charity single, ‘Everybody Hurts’.
