Starbucks supports youth fund in Dublin

Howard Lake | 16 June 2010 | News

The Irish Youth Foundation and Starbucks have established a fund for young people in Dublin who have ideas that will make a difference in their local communities.
The Fund is worth €20,000 and is open to all young people in Dublin aged between 15-19, and want to do something different.
There are five awards of €2000 and each of the five winners will have a further opportunity to pitch for another €2,000 award.
Key dates for the Fund application process are:
* Monday 21st June, when we need to have ideas from and by young people, aged 15-19, sent in to us.
* Thursday 1st July, when we are hosting a fun workshop for young people on creating and presenting ideas.
* Friday 23rd July, when funding proposals from young people about their best ideas, are sent in to us.
* Tuesday 3rd August when some young people will be asked to pitch their brilliant ideas for the money to make them happen.
* An awards event will be held in September to celebrate the five winning ideas and to hand over the money.
